The Outdoor Museum is now closed for the winter period and will be open again for activities as of Saturday 1 April 2016. Please note that the museum ferry is not in operation during the closure of the Outdoor Museum. The Indoor Museum is open all year round, except on Christmas Day (25 December).
When travelling by car, you can reach the Museum by following the signs 'Zuiderzeemuseum' along the road as you approach Enkhuizen. These will lead you to the railway station where you have plenty of parking space for your vehicle on the Stationsplein. From there, the Indoor Museum is only a ten minutes’ walk. Follow the signposted route for pedestrians and enjoy the pleasant walk through the city of Enkhuizen.
Please note: if you are using a GPS navigation system, enter ‘Enkuizen Stationsplein’ as your destination.
When travelling by public transport, take the train to the Enkhuizen Railway Station. From there, following the signs ‘Zuiderzeemuseum’, it is only a 15 minutes’ walk to the Museum’s entrance.
From the railway station walk along the old harbour and pass under the Drommedaris. Then cross the white drawbridge and turn right with curve of the route. Walk on until you reach the old city wall, turn left and follow the wall until you see the entrance to the Indoor Museum on your left. The pedestrian route from the station is shown on several signposts along the way.

The adjoining parking lot provides enough space to park your car. Full day parking charge: €5. The ferry boat trip from the entrance pavilion to the Outdoor Museum takes about 15 minutes.
The city-side entrance to the Outdoor Museum is intended for pedestrians, cyclists and, if necessary, for (semi) disabled visitors. Therefore we advise you to park your car on the large parking lot at the entrance pavilion situated just outside the city centre, at no.1 Sluisweg.
