It is advisable to use the visit planner to visit the Museum. It shows you what's on at the Museum on the day of your choice, and can generate your personal route description.

By car

If you are travelling by car, you can reach the Museum by following the signs for 'Zuiderzeemuseum' as you approach Enkhuizen. These signs will lead you to the railway station where you have plenty of space (on the Stationsplein) to park your vehicle. From there you can walk to the Museum in ten minutes. Follow the signs for pedestrians and you will also have a pleasant walk through the city of Enkhuizen.

Please note: if you are using a navigation system, please enter ‘Enkuizen Stationsplein’ as the address.

Public transport

If you are travelling by public transport, you need to take the train to NS Station Enkhuizen. The museum is a 15 minute walk from Enkhuizen’s NS Station. Follow the signs for ‘Zuiderzeemuseum’.

On foot

From the railway station you walk along the old harbour and under the Drommedaris. You cross the white draw bridge and turn right into the curve of the route. Walk on until you reach to the wall, turn left and follow the wall until you see the entrance to the Indoor Museum on your left. The pedestrain route from the station is also shown on signs along the way.

Please note: The museum ferry boat does not operate in this period because the Outdoor Museum is closed.
