Measures due to the heat
Due to the expected heat, the Zuiderzee village will be open only as a walking park on Friday, June 26. This means that activities and demonstrations have been canceled and that the buildings and the museum ferry will not be accessible. The Schathuys will, however, be open to visitors. Currently, the permanent exhibition Sea full of Stories and the temporary exhibition With Fresh Eyes are on view.
The KNMI advises people to stay out of the sun and only go outside when absolutely necessary. Under these circumstances, the museum therefore does not consider it responsible to have our staff and volunteers work at the Zuiderzee village. Their safety is our top priority.
