Have you cleaned your nails, left your clogs in the hallway and are you well aware that you must mind your language and speak politely here? You’d better watch it, otherwise you will soon be standing in front of the class with the donkey sign around your neck!
Sitting in the benches of a historic classroom, students attend a school class as children did in 1930.
Goal
Students experience and discover what going to school was like in 1930 and try their hand at writing with slate and pencil and dip pen and ink.
In the museum
Introduction by the museum teacher.
Playing in the school yard.
The students attend an authentic lesson in arithmetic using slate and pencil and a lesson in writing with dip pen and ink on paper.
Conclusion of the event by the museum teacher.
