Guided tours
Past – present – future
Get a whiff of the smell of petroleum in a 1920s household, sample a freshly smoked fish at the smokehouse and hear the blacksmith hammering on his anvil.
During their tour, students and a museum teacher visit authentic buildings and meet craftsmen. Every building, house and object has a hidden (hi)story that only our museum teachers know. With these stories, the museum teacher takes the students on a 'journey through time' and lets them have a multi-sensory experience of life as it was a hundred years ago.
Goal
To give students an insight into life around the Zuiderzee as it was about a hundred years ago. In consultation with the Sales & Reservations department, the theme of a tour can also be adapted to the school’s wishes.
