Het schilderatelier, waar een man druk bezig is met schilderen

Painter's workshop

In around 1900, some painters ran a paint shop from their workplace. They make and sell all kinds of products there, such as paint of course, but also advertising signs, glass and wallpaper.
Making paint is a labour intensive business. The painter must stir, mix and rub to break down the pigments.
